Secondary School Site - What has been happening lately?
Dear Armstrong Mt Duneed Residents,
In February 2026, we issued a newsletter seeking your support ahead of a meeting between Armstrong Mt Duneed resident Sheryn Vessey, Bev McArthur MLC, Member for Western Victoria Region, and Brad Rowswell MP, Shadow Minister for Education.
Thank you to all residents who supported this important advocacy effort. The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to clearly communicate the need for the planned secondary school site in Armstrong Mt Duneed to be prioritised and delivered. We are now seeking to build on this momentum.
Through the joint efforts, correspondence has been issued to relevant State Government representatives, Opposition representatives and other stakeholders. We are pleased that this matter is receiving attention, and we now ask residents to assist in strengthening the community’s message.
Attached below are template letters that residents may use to contact media outlets, elected representatives and other relevant decision-makers. We encourage you to personalise the template where appropriate, include your name, and send it directly by email. The more residents who participate, the stronger and clearer our collective message will be.
The land for the proposed secondary school has long been planned, is centrally located, and is ready to support the growing Armstrong Mt Duneed community. What is now required is a clear commitment to fund and deliver the school.
